DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training Frequently Asked Questions for Administrators (FAQ)

1.    What is the difference between a module, a course, and a learning pathway?

Learners may enroll in individual modules or in learning pathways.  An individual course, or module, is typically 30-60 minutes in length, covering one topic.  It has an assessment at its conclusion, to demonstrate the learner’s mastery of the skill.  For completion of the training, a 100% score is required for the assessment.

A learning pathway is typically a collection of 8 modules and 2 recordings of webinars (no assessment on the webinars) which all support a singular training topic.  Learners who complete learning pathways will earn a certificate, which they may download and print for their records.

2.    How can my employees access the training modules?

Learners may access their training modules via the internet, on any browser meeting the minimum requirements.  Mobile devices are not currently supported for access of DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training training modules.

3.    How do learners register for DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training?

Your company will either require internal registration or permit direct registration on the DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training site.  If you are registering on our site, you will review the listing of topics, learning pathways and modules.  When you opt to “Register Now”, you will be taken to an online survey form where you can select the learning pathways or modules in which you wish to enroll.  Within the next 2-3 business days, you will receive an email containing a link to access the LMS to access your content.

4.    Can learners pause or exit a training module and return later?

Learners can exit a training module at any time and return to it at their convenience.  Once completed, the training module will remain on their dashboard so they can access it at a later date, should they wish to review the content again.

5.    My employee is trying to access and register for training modules, but cannot access the LMS.  What should we do?

Have your employees report such issues to you.  You can consolidate any reports of issues and work with our administrators to resolve them.  Learners may be “deactivated” for a number of reasons, such as reaching your company’s DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training budgetary limit, not meeting your company’s requirements to access training, or globally, due to accounting restraints (unpaid DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training invoices).

6.    How do I control the employee access to the DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training LMS and module content?

Instead of promoting open employee enrollment via posting the access to DeVryWORKS Skills Gap Training on your intranet or newsletter for your talent, you can work with your selected employees or groups to build a registration list of employees whom you wish to enroll in specified modules or learning pathways.  Contact us at skillsgaptraining@devry.edu to request an Excel template for your course enrollment roster.
